Heather Michael, owner of Home Care Solutions received her Bachelor’s degree from Linfield College- School of Nursing in 1994. After graduation, she moved to Tri-Cities, Washington where she started her first job as a Registered Nurse at KGH. Heather worked for several local physician’s and then, in 1997, she opened her first Adult Family Home. This business grew over the years from one home to four. Heather managed the staff and coordinated care for the 24 residents in those homes. She loved working with elderly clients and took a proactive approach to keeping her clients healthy.
In 2010, Heather took a job as a Hospice Case Manager for Chaplaincy Healthcare. Her insight of the needs of her clients combined with the awareness that there was a need for quality in-home caregiving, inspired her to start a Home Care Agency. An agency with a variety of home care services because we know no two people are alike. Each of our clients is unique with different needs and different circumstances. Our desire is to get to know their physical, social, dietary and health needs so that we can meet those needs or find the community resources to partner with. This is a wholistic approach to aging in place.
Heather has a team of compassionate, knowledgeable and inspiring individuals working in the office, behind the scenes, ensuring our clients receive excellent care, every day. Additionally, we have amazing caregivers who are passionate about what they do and it is those caregivers that are changing lives. Our clients are flourishing in their homes, receiving customized care and services to their likes and dislikes and as ordered by their care team (doctor, physical therapist, nutritionist, etc.) Home Care Solutions’ goal is to impact our community, one person at a time.
Home Care Solutions is licensed as Home Care and Home Health Care through the Washington State Department of Health. Home-care agencies perform household and personal care services, like preparing meals, cleaning, and helping with bathing or dressing. Currently we have zero deficiencies.
“Everyone wants to remain in their home as they age. Home is where we feel safe and secure, it’s where so many memories are made over the years. When illness or a physical ailment limits a person’s independence, they may not know what their options are. We are the solution to these care needs. We come along side our clients to meet their needs so that they can remain living in their homes. We provide peace of mind to the adult children wrestling with the many components of aging and healthcare. It brings me joy knowing that not only are we helping our clients, we are also fulfilling their greatest wish, to live at home.”
